On Premium, a student aged 11 or over gets each piece scored against the real assessment objectives published for their year and region — AQA GCSE English Language AO5 and AO6 in the UK, for instance, or the relevant Common Core writing standards in the US. Every objective gets a band from 1 (Emerging) to 4 (Strong), a quote from their own work as the evidence for that band, and one specific change that would move it up a band. It deliberately never gives a raw exam mark, percentage, or grade letter: one unmoderated piece can't support that precision, and a number that looks official but isn't would be worse than no number at all.
