Your count resets automatically on the 1st of each month, so there's nothing to remember or manually renew. Once you're using it every week, Core removes the monthly cap entirely.

Yes. Submissions are processed solely to generate feedback for your child — we never sell or rent writing samples or personal data, and we don't use your child's submissions to train public AI models. You choose your region — UK, US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, India, South Africa, Hong Kong, UAE & GCC (Cambridge/IGCSE), Singapore & SE Asia (Cambridge/IB), or Global ESL Mode (CEFR A1–C2) — and your child's grade, year, or level, and every mastery target, Grow, and vocabulary suggestion is scaled to that curriculum's actual expectations. It's not one generic rubric stretched across every country.

Yes — both Core and Premium are billed monthly through Stripe with no lock-in contract. Cancel from your account settings in a couple of clicks and you won't be charged again; you'll keep full access through the end of the period you already paid for, then drop back to the free plan rather than losing your account.

Start on Free and judge the feedback quality yourself — 3 submissions a month of real Glow, Grow, highlights and vocabulary feedback. Core (US$9.99 a month, with local prices in A$, £, €, C$, S$, NZ$, HK$, R and ₹) is right for one child practising regularly: unlimited submissions, the 26-week progress trend, anonymous ranking within their own year group, and full activity history. Premium (15.99 a month) is for households with more than one child — up to 6 learners on one account, cheaper than two Core plans — or a student aged 11+ working towards exams, since it adds exam-technique scoring, a second, harder next step, a spelling and grammar check and a whole-piece score out of 10 on every piece of feedback. You can move between plans at any time from your account settings.

On Premium, a student aged 11 or over gets each piece scored against the real assessment objectives published for their year and region — AQA GCSE English Language AO5 and AO6 in the UK, for instance, or the relevant Common Core writing standards in the US. Every objective gets a band from 1 (Emerging) to 4 (Strong), a quote from their own work as the evidence for that band, and one specific change that would move it up a band. It deliberately never gives a raw exam mark, percentage, or grade letter: one unmoderated piece can't support that precision, and a number that looks official but isn't would be worse than no number at all.

The workspace clearly shows when they're at the limit and pauses new submissions — nothing is lost, and drafts already in progress stay saved. From there you can either upgrade to Core for unlimited submissions right away, or simply wait for the free allowance to reset at the start of next month.

No — it never writes their story. LiteracyLab AI only responds to work your child has already done: it names one specific strength and one thing to improve. The closest it comes to rewriting is the "Your story, revised" panel, which takes a sentence your child actually wrote and shows that same sentence with the suggested fix applied — their words, their voice, one change — so they can see what the advice looks like in practice instead of copying replacement prose. The next draft is still theirs to write.

Yes, on the Premium plan: up to six learners on one account (the Free and Core plans cover one learner), each with their own country curriculum, year group, interests and avatar. Their work stays completely separate: submissions, mastery history and progress are scoped to each child individually, so an older sibling's essays never blend into a younger one's dashboard. Switch between them from the learner bar at the top of the dashboard.

Only in a deliberately limited, anonymous way. The dashboard shows how your child's overall mastery compares with other students in the exact same country and year group — an average, a percentile, and a ranked ladder. Every other entry on that ladder shows only a rank and a score, labelled "Student 4" and so on; no names or identifying details ever pass between families. And if fewer than five students share your child's exact country and year, the comparison is hidden entirely rather than shown against a group small enough to identify someone.

Yes — instantly, and without having to ask us. From the parent dashboard you can download everything the account holds, including every learner's profile and their complete writing and reading history, as a single file. You can also permanently delete the entire account, which removes every profile and all history and cancels any active subscription.
